Finnigan's First Birthday

Finnigan turned 1 on June 1, 2013. Here's a few pictures from the day.
It started off with a trip to the Zoo!

Treats, including Finnigans first ice cream!

Then we took some pictures in the park. Nana and Papa came up to celebrate the day with us.

Then we went home for presents and cake!

Some shots of Finnigan eagerly waiting for his cake.

Aden's Christmas Concert

One more post to get me caught up. Here's a clip from Aden's Kindergarten concert this year. It was hilarious! Thanks to Papa for taking the video!

A Year In Review: May 2012 - May 2013

Well it's been just over a year since I last posted. Yikes, where did the days go. I'm trying to get caught up so I figured the best course of action would be a year in review post. So here we go...

The most significant event of the past year was definitely Finnigan George Turner being born on June 1, 2012. Here's a few shots of the wee boy.

Okay so next to the birth of a new baby getting grass might not seem that significant but it is when you've lived in a house for well over a year without any. Last summer brought on a new deck, grass and the completion of the fence. The kids have been loving it!

What the what?! Aden started school this past September. September 4, 2012 to be exact! He was pretty excited!
Halloween! Well this was a very interesting day for us in 2012. First off it brought on some pretty cute costumes and Abby's first real trick or treating year.  Here's Finnigan rocking the Monkey costume that all three kids wore their first year.

Aberdeen was Cinderella and Aden was a Race Car driver. They were pretty cute!

The second reason Oct. 31, 2012 was an interesting day was because this was the day that Jason got diagnosed, finally! Jason got very sick in 2012. He lost a lot of weight, was extremely tired, had no energy and was off of work for three months. He went to many doctors and had many tests and finally he was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Whipple Disease. It's a bacterial infection that keeps your body from breaking down and absorbing food. Thankfully the doctors figured it out and as soon as treatment started Jason started feeling better. He'll be on his medication for at least a year and is feeling a lot better in 2013 than he did in 2012. This picture was taken his first day of treatment. (it's a horribly taken photo, sorry husband!)
Aberdeen turned 3 on March 24, 2013! Craziness! She had a Care Bear/Rainbow themed birthday party complete with kids and she loved it!

Easter! Aden was especially excited for this holiday because he remember the egg hunt and treasury hunt from the year before. The kids had a blast finding their treats and eating their candy!

Aden turned 6! Yikes! 6! What?! He had a very fun Angry Birds birthday party with games and an interactive cake! The first two pictures were taken from his kids party the Saturday before his birthday.

Aden's real birthday landed on a Monday so we went to A & W (his favourite restaurant) for dinner and then followed it up with presents and this awesome cake made by the best mom ever. Seriously this cake turned out better than I could have hoped. I really didn't want to let him destroy it but that was his favourite part!

That's it folks! A whole year summed up in just a few pictures. Well there are a million more I could have posted but I'd be here another year getting them all sorted out so this is what we're left with. I'm going to try and do a better job at updating more regularly but we'll see how this next year goes! Wish me luck and thanks for visiting!
