The most significant event of the past year was definitely Finnigan George Turner being born on June 1, 2012. Here's a few shots of the wee boy.
Okay so next to the birth of a new baby getting grass might not seem that significant but it is when you've lived in a house for well over a year without any. Last summer brought on a new deck, grass and the completion of the fence. The kids have been loving it!
What the what?! Aden started school this past September. September 4, 2012 to be exact! He was pretty excited!
Halloween! Well this was a very interesting day for us in 2012. First off it brought on some pretty cute costumes and Abby's first real trick or treating year. Here's Finnigan rocking the Monkey costume that all three kids wore their first year.
Aberdeen was Cinderella and Aden was a Race Car driver. They were pretty cute!
The second reason Oct. 31, 2012 was an interesting day was because this was the day that Jason got diagnosed, finally! Jason got very sick in 2012. He lost a lot of weight, was extremely tired, had no energy and was off of work for three months. He went to many doctors and had many tests and finally he was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Whipple Disease. It's a bacterial infection that keeps your body from breaking down and absorbing food. Thankfully the doctors figured it out and as soon as treatment started Jason started feeling better. He'll be on his medication for at least a year and is feeling a lot better in 2013 than he did in 2012. This picture was taken his first day of treatment. (it's a horribly taken photo, sorry husband!)
Aberdeen turned 3 on March 24, 2013! Craziness! She had a Care Bear/Rainbow themed birthday party complete with kids and she loved it!
Aden's real birthday landed on a Monday so we went to A & W (his favourite restaurant) for dinner and then followed it up with presents and this awesome cake made by the best mom ever. Seriously this cake turned out better than I could have hoped. I really didn't want to let him destroy it but that was his favourite part!
